OUR STORY

New Hope Christian School may have begun in 2021, but our plans to develop a school go back a long time and are part of a larger effort to minister to the families of Orleans County. Here is a (very) brief overview of how we got to our first year of classes.

1995-RIVER OF LIFE CAMP FOUNDED

Out of a desire to serve local children and their families, River of Life Camp is founded. The camp hosted its first campers in the summer of 1996.

2011-MULTIPURPOSE BUILDING COMPLETED

Together, Brownington Center Church and River of Life Camp came together to complete a multipurpose building designed with the capacity to host a school – which then became home to New Hope Bible Church of Irasburg.

2018-PLANNING STARTS FOR 1ST YEAR OF SCHOOL

Sensing a growing need in our community for a Christian school, planning begins in preparation for our first official year of classes.

2021-FIRST CLASSES

After years of planning, New Hope Christian School welcomed its first volunteers, teachers, and families and commenced with its first official year of classes.
