MEET OUR TEAM

A crucial part of any organization is the team that leads it and keeps it going day by day. New Hope Christian School is a team effort. In addition to the many volunteers that have served and supported our school, we also have a number of administrative staff and teaching faculty that serve our students and their families. Learn more about them here:

Aaron Warner, HEAD OF SCHOOL

Aaron Warner was born and raised in Orleans County in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont. In the early 90’s, he moved to Winona Lake, Indiana, where he remained for 8 years earning a Bachelor’s in Biology and a Master’s Degree in Youth Ministry from Grace College & Seminary. Aaron considers his faith and family to be the most important things in his life. Right below that is his passion, the call of his life: to work with youth. Over the last 20 years, Aaron has sought to follow that call in a variety of roles including youth pastor, summer camp director and middle school science teacher. He currently lives in Sheffield with his wife, Sarah, and their three children.

Jesse Monroe, ASSISTANT HEADMASTER

Jesse lives in Irasburg, VT with his wife, Julie, and daughter, Joanna. He is a direct result of the ministry that happens through New Hope Bible Church, as He trusted in the saving work of Christ at the age of 15 through one of the church’s ministries—River of Life Camp. He now serves as the camp’s Director. Jesse holds a Bachelor’s degree in Ministry Leadership with a focus in Children and Family ministries from Moody Bible Institute. He has a passion for youth and camp ministry. In his free time, Jesse enjoys music and traveling.

Julie Monroe, SECRETARY

Julie lives in Irasburg with her husband Jesse and daughter Joanna. She was raised in a Christian family and professed faith in Christ at a young age. She currently works for New Hope Bible Church and all of its ministries as the administrative assistant. In her personal time Julie is pursuing her bachelors degree and teaching license in Early Childhood Education.

Bekah Perry, K-2 Teacher

Bekah Perry will be teaching Kindergarten – 2nd grade for the 2022-2023 school year.

Preston Niccum, 3-4 TEACHER

Preston was born and raised by a Christian family in the town of Hampden, Massachusetts. After high school, he attended and graduated from Word Of Life Bible Institute. Preston has dedicated his summers to doing Children’s Ministry for the Word of Life Pines, where he was able to teach the word of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ to children from 4 to 12 years old. He won’t shy away from crowds of new people, and enjoys road trips and learning new things. Preston loves the Lord, above all else, and is excited to begin teaching at the New Hope Christian School.

Sonja Ranslow, 5-8 Math & Language Arts

Sonja enjoys Vermont life with her young children, Wesley, Clyde and Gwyneth. She grew up in Northern Vermont and after some years living in the Midwest, she returned in 2017. Sonja is very grateful to be raising her children in the rural Northeast Kingdom. Sonja attended Vermont Technical College and received her associates of engineering in 2010. She recently earned her bachelor’s in mathematics from Northern Vermont University, graduating in 2020. Sonja has been involved in children’s ministry for many years, with experience as a camp counselor, Sunday school teacher, preschool assistant, and nanny. She has homeschooled her own children and is grateful to now be serving through the ministry of New Hope.
